Teresina Releases
2005 Petite Sirah (Mokelumne River • Lodi) $20
Deep garnet in hue, this finessed Petite Sirah fills the glass with a bouquet of fresh, ripe blueberry and boysenberry followed by lingering sweet notes of vanilla. The lush berry flavors also form the forefront of the palate where a balance of acidity and smooth tannins provide a firm structure while yielding a silky mouthfeel. The wine was barrel-aged for nine months in a combination of French and American oak barrels (comprised of approximately 30% new oak). The restrained alcohol and ripe, polished tannins make this wine food friendly and immediately approachable. Our inaugural vintage – get your hands on this while it lasts! 289 cases produced.
2006 Ripken Vineyard Petite Sirah (Mokelumne River • Lodi) $20
Sourced from a vineyard block within the Ripken Vineyard possessing sandy and gravelly sediments laid down by the Mokelumne River, this wine showcases rich and jammy ripe fruit while still retaining soft and supple tannins. The wine opens with a bouquet of fresh and ripe blackberries, which are accented with hints of mocha and toasty oak. The intense fruit provides the wine richness and complexity without the heaviness of excess alcohol and oak. This wine was awarded a Silver Medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition after spending only five months in the bottle! 364 cases produced.
